How to become a C.T.V.F.D. Member
So you think you want to join the Coolspring Fire Department Family. Good for you, we are always looking for new reliable members to join our family. Let's look at some things you need to be aware of:
1. You are at least 18 years of age.
2. You are a resident of Coolspring Township.
3. You have a valid Indiana Driver's License.
4. You can pass a drug screen at any time.
5. You can if asked pass a pre-membership physical paid for by C.T.V.F.D.
If you are able to say yes the above statements then let's go over a few other things. There is no pay involved with our department. What we do is 100% voluntary and we do it to help our community. You're going to have to fill out an application and turn it in, in person to Station 1 located at 7111 W. 400 N. Applications are only accepted November, December and January. Prior fire service experience is always a plus but is not necessary.
The C.T.V.F.D. does not unlawfully discriminate in membership and no question on this application is used for the purpose of limiting or excusing any applicant from consideration for membership on a basis prohibited by local, state or federal law.
